I drink too much. I black out too much. I make too many mistakes when I drink.
I have decided I need to stop drinking. Or at least I plan to stop drinking for one year. I will come up with 365 mistakes I have made due to my drinking alcohol. They will become 365 reasons for me to stay sober.
I will give stories to explain my history of drinking. I will not use real names. I will also write about my current state and how I am dealing with my sobriety. I will try to do this daily. Hopefully, I will be able to explain who I am and my problem. Maybe someone can relate. Maybe someone reading this has questioned their issue with drinking. Maybe someone will decide they have a year’s worth of reasons to go sober too.
If you have any advice, please share it with me.
Thanks for reading.
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! Congrats on your new journey. I love the idea of the 365 misatkes to give you 365 reasons to stay sober – sounds like a good encouragement.
My simplest advice would be: don’t drink and find a good support network. Of course this may be harder done than said sometimes, but for me if I break it up into one day at a time, it makes it all a bit more managable.
Thanks a bunch! Your comment helps. I have one more week until 30 days and I am starting to worry about it getting harder. It’s like I will finally reached that peak and oh crap… I see the top of the mountain is still very far away!
I look forward to reading your blog. 🙂

This is great! I am doing the same thing. Today is day 17 for me. I decided to give up drinking for a year to see what I can accomplish both personally and professionally. I would like to be able to enjoy drinks in the future, but in moderation. I am also blogging about my experience. http://www.thesoberexperience.com
All the best to you on your journey! I’ll pray you’re successful in your sobriety.

Hey just stumbled on your blog; great work – it’s bookmarked. Best of luck with your journey in recovery.
This is a great blog. Beautifully written, honest and brave. I’ve just read it from start to finish, a month in to my journey to sobriety, and it has been more help to me than anything else I’ve come across online. I’m sorry there’s not more for me to read recently, but hope that’s because 2017 was the end of counting for you. Thanks and best wishes june
Hi there! Thanks for commenting. Recently, I keep thinking about blogs to post. I just haven’t posted or been near my computer. I decided to come online and make a blog post so just saw your comment. Honestly, I’ve been struggling lately. But gonna blog about it.
